POLICE investigating the murder of a woman whose burnt out remains were found in a Hampshire village have released a vital clue in the hunt for her killer.

The remains of the woman, aged between late teens and early 30s, was found off Wayfarers Way, Dummer, near Basingstoke.

Last night police released details of her clothing.

The woman was wearing a size 10 New Look wallpaper print grey hooded jacket and a photograph of an identical garment is attached.

The jacket was sold nationwide in 601 New Look stores from October 2007.

Detective Chief Inspector Gary O'Flaherty, said: "This is a very distinctive jacket and we hope that by releasing this photograph it will jog someone's memory.

"We need to identify the victim, who was a white woman, aged between her late teens and early 30s and of slender build.

"Anyone who can help us identify her should contact the Operation Fletcher investigation team at Major Crime on 0845 045 45 45 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

The woman's burnt remains were found on Thursday morning by a woman walking her dog.

I suppose they survive like you just did. Hiding behind the anonymity that our disjointed society provides, enabling many to say / do what they wouldn't if they were properly accountable

"tautology" = unnecessary repetition of words (or words that mean the same thing).

Not really. These days we get a number of urban villages, such as West End. Still called a village, but you can hardly call it rural.

May the prayers of good people help the officers to find the devil who committed the crime. Her soul is in God's Eternity.
