CYCLISTS across Hampshire are being urged to get into gear and enter a major charity event that takes place early next month.

The NSPCC's Big Bike Ride will be staged at Lepe Country Park, near Exbury, on July 6.

People entering on the day will be charged £10 but the fee is only £5 for those who enter in advance, and children go free if they are accompanied by a paying adult.

Participants are also asked to raise sponsorship for the charity.

Anyone wanting to know more about the event should ring 01256 773054.

Just to be different, I will actually make a sensible post. NSPCC is one of the best charities, so even if you don't like the event, take a look at there website! http://www.nspcc.org

The NSPCC is not a 'good' charity and as they are advertising for a new Chief Executive at a salary of £150.000.00 a year I suppose they need all the sponsored cyclists they can get!

Besides the point tbh. You will find that all the major charities have salaried positions, personally I dont like the situation but it doesnt mean you shoud stop contributing, it does however mean you should let your views known to the charity.

As for this event! Hope it went well! :-)
