A TOP line-up of stars is set to descend on Southampton next month as thousands of fresh-faced students move down to university.
To kick off the academic year, student unions and clubs have revealed their artist line-ups for Southampton Freshers Week 2017 and it’s set to be one of the biggest yet.
Among the stars lined up are drum and bass DJ Sub Focus, urban dance icon Faithless and Tom Zanetti, who has had two UK house number ones with Darlin and You Want Me.
House legend Mistajam will open up the celebrations at a welcome party on Saturday, September 16, while Wilkinson, famous for his single Afterglow, will also host a guest DJ set at Switch night club.
Both freshers events will culminate in glitz and glam freshers balls.
For Solent University students, Lethal Bizzle – famous for his single Fester Skank which made the UK top ten singles chart in 2015 – will headline their celebrations.
Meanwhile, Capital Radio DJ and former JLS member Marvin Humes and house sensation Patrick Nazemi will feature at the University of Southampton Students’ Union Freshers’ Ball
Partygoers can also get a selfie with Love Island hunks Alex Beattie and Marcel Somerville who will make an appearance at super club Oceana.
Finally, students from both universities will don trademark white T-shirts to let off steam during Southampton’s Big Night Out, the UK’s biggest multi-venue bar crawl. To buy tickets visit aaapass.co.uk or susu.org/boxoffice.
