POLICE are investigating after a UKIP poster was set on fire in Botley Road, North Baddesley.
The fire was discovered by staff at a nearby Co-op shop at 5.30am on Monday.
It comes as Hampshire Constabulary looks into other allegations of damage to party posters, including one in Eastleigh, where UKIP county councillor Andy Moore’s banner was ripped from his front garden and snapped in two.
Ninety-year-old war veteran Frank Moody told of his anger at vandals who drew a Swastika and Hitler moustache on the face of UKIP’s Romsey and Southampton North candidate Sandra James on a poster in his garden.
