PARISH councillors in Kings Worthy have been discussing an extension of their local park with a housing developer.
HAB Housing is expected to submit a planning application for homes on land off Lovedon Lane this month and has been in talks of including an extension for Eversley Park.
The council said in its latest parish newsletter that it is “likely to include a wild flower meadow, a ‘park run’ track of a mile in length, allotments, a tennis court, a natural play area, as well as tree planting and an orchard”.
There is also ongoing talk of a ‘pump track’ for adventurous cyclists.
The newsletter also said: “This is promising to be the most exciting thing to happen in Kings Worthy since the original Eversley Park was created.”
