I pity new residents
IN response to the letter from Dr Andrew Ross (April 26), his sympathy for the inhabitants of Southampton Road, Eastleigh, will not be extendable to the residents of the dwellings now being erected on the former allotment sites adjacent to South Street. However, their problems have not yet even started!
Think of the noise during the construction and subsequent operation of the Chickenhall Link (to the M27) incorporating the Eastleigh (eastern) bypass. While I am not sure of the exact line of this road, I believe the relevant land has already been protected.
N T ALFORD, Fair Oak, Eastleigh.
