What would really impress me with councillors

COUNCILLOR Don Thomas (In My View, April 30) nearly had me in tears telling us how devoted he is in being a ward councillor in Coxford.

How on earth did the people of Coxford get on without him? I tell you how they got on, with all the councillors that have represented this ward. They look after themselves first and foremost, then their political parties, lastly the voters who are not on anyone's agenda.

If the Don Thomases of this world genuinely cared about the voters they would not take an inflated wage which comes out of my inflated council tax every year. Now that really would impress me.

    LORDSWOOD BOB.
