Why send ambulances to drunks?
I SAW a report on ITV Meridian's news that ambulance crews are being attacked by drunks.
I can't help wondering why they send an ambulance to deal with these people. They should send several policemen in today's equivalant of the Black Maria, with a paramedic in case the drunks have injured themselves by falling over or fighting.
When they have collected a van full take them to the police station, throw them in the cells and leave them to sleep it off.
The next day tot up the cost and make them pay for it. The NHS that we have paid into all our working life should not be used for drunken oafs, male or female.
What happened to "charged with being drunk and disorderly''?
It makes me wonder how they get out of beds in the morning to go to work, college or university, probably not.
