Fly the Wessex flag
VERY soon it will be time to celebrate St Aldhelm's Day - May 25.
Would it be too much to ask all Wessexers to support the day and fly the flag (St Aldhelm's Cross - white cross on red field, or Wessex Drake - gold two-legged Wessex dragon/wyvern on a red field) for Wessexers the world over?
Every available mast should sport a Wessex flag, every car, every pub - show you are Wessexers and proud of it.
The Polish put us to shame when it comes to showing their roots. Scotland has its identity. The Welsh have their country and they even have their own language. They are all proud of their country - let us be proud of Wessex, even for one day.
