Foreign visitors flout law with cars
I HAVE become aware of many foreign vehicles unregistered still with their home number plates in Southampton.
Visitors, I believe, may use their overseas registration for six months. How is it that there are so many vehicles in Southampton avoiding paying the road fund tax, having MoTs and probably insurance valid in the UK?
I believe that once residence has been completed they should register properly with the DVLC.
I have noticed many vehicles in my area with overseas registrations that have been here for well over a year.
