    A moral duty on dentists?

NHS dentistry is a controversial issue. I was annoyed but not surprised to find there was not one NHS dentist in my area taking on more patients. That included Winchester, Eastleigh and Southampton. The only practise was Rowner in Portsmouth. I suspect most dentists were trained at the taxpayers' expense, so surely they have a duty to treat all NHS patients.

    MICHAEL KITLEY, Winchester.
