I boycott Asda too
I COMPLETELY agree with AJ Bryant, Asda continues to rip the heart out of Totton. I have felt this for many years and boycott it.
Owner Wal-Mart has a history of freezing out local competition until a town becomes totally dependent upon it.
Look around Totton at all the empty shops - no greengrocer, no convenience store in the centre and very little, if any, competition to Asda. It is time we kicked back.
Morrisons has an excellent store, Romsey is not far away and neither is Hythe and both offer excellent shopping without the bottom-patting monopolists at Asda who think they are offering some kind of service.
If you still think that Asda represents some kind of gentle Yorkshire co-operative, as it once did, it is time to wake up. This is corporate greed on a mission and will not be happy until there is nothing else left.
