Fluoridation is hard to swallow
PROFESSOR Damien Walmsley, In My View July 10 assures us that fluoridation is safe and effective with absolutely no effect on the body apart from making the teeth stronger.
Could this be that his job description is the same as the current one for the £74,000 deputy chief dental officer whose key tasks will include leading on water fluoridation. So who do we believe, people like Professor Paul Connett and Professor Trevor Sheldon who are not being paid to promote fluoridation who say that the resultant 48 per cent of people who will get fluorosis are being harmed as it is an indication that the body is being poisoned. Who say fluoridation is not even effective as fluoride works topically, or do we believe the paid officers of the British Dental Association, who in turn swallow everything the British Fluoride Society tell them.
