Pavements are for pedestrians
CYCLISTS who ride on the pavements don't get fined. They flout the law too much - even to cycling past the police station.
I don't entirely blame them riding on the pavements, the roads are so dangerous for bicycles, but I do wish they didn't think they have priority over pedestrians and ride too fast.
I am now constantly looking round before stepping sideways to look in a shop window, or cross the road, in case I'm run down.
I've had some very near misses and always stand still when three or more are cycling towards me. It's not pleasant going shopping.
