Young people from the city have had an exclusive look behind the scenes at the port as ABP kick-started its work experience programme with City College Southampton.
Travel and tourism students were introduced to the port for an orientation visit, ahead of their small group work experience placements in March.
During the visit students were given a mini-bus tour of the port taking in everything from the old Titanic berth to the fruit terminal.
Pippa Booker, teacher of travel and tourism at the college, said: “The new work experience programme is a fantastic opportunity for our students to experience first-hand the day-to-day running of the port.”
