  Ditto. Liverpool is not the place that you depict, never was, your problem is that you read what the tabloids say and are then stupid enough to believe what you read especially the Sun. In fact I would bet that you have never been here and therefore have no right to pass comments that you cannot justify.
  I know Southampton quite well and outside of the city is really nice but the city itself does not compare to Liverpool, you also have most of the problems that you seem to throw at Liverpool, I read your newspaper most days and the reports indicate a city beset with the problems suffered by most cities.
  If you look at national statistics Liverpool is better than most nowadays.
  The one thing most of your politicians and commentators seem to ignore, is the awful journey from the North to your city and the prohibitive cost unless you travel by bus via London which is usually overnight and very unpleasant.
  You should make an effort and come here maybe then you wont have such a bad opinion of the place, the natives are really quite friendly."
