THE GALAXY is currently gripped by Star Wars fever - but one Hampshire cop is determined to resist The Dark Side.
PC Mark Walsh has posted a six-second video on social media site Vine, showing him resisting the temptations of the Empire - and instead vowing to battle crime on the streets.
The officer - who has posted an image of himself as a Jedi on his Twitter account - is a big fan of the Star Wars films.
However, another video of his suggests Hampshire Constabulary may have a less than ideal replacement for Chief Constable Andy Marsh lined up.
PC Walsh - who posts on Vine as VineCop - has been posting the videos online for a number of months, and his clips have attracted 900k views across the globe.
More than 17,000 people follow him on Twitter, as he uses the short videos to promote crime prevention and safety advice in a fun and accessible manner.
