Road rage investigated by police
A ROAD rage incident involving two drivers is being investigated by Hampshire police.
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit at Totton are now appealing for witnesses to a road traffic incident on the A35 from Ashurst to Totton.
At about 4.15pm Sunday, January 6, the drivers of a black Vauxhall Astra and a black Lexus 4x4 were involved in an altercation which started at the A35 junction with Woodlands Road, Ashurst, and continued to the M271, where both vehicles pulled in behind a police car on the hard shoulder.
The Astra is a 51 registration, and the Lexus is a personal registration, ending in 90.
It is alleged that the vehicles collided at some point.
PC Jonathan Crowe said: “This is not a common occurrence. It took place on a main road on a Sunday afternoon, and it is believed there are a number of witnesses who may well have important information. I would urge them to contact us.”
Anyone who witnessed the two vehicles being driven is asked to contact PC Crowe at Totton Roads Policing Unit on 101.
