MOTORISTS faced delays on a Hampshire motorway after two vehicles crashed into the central reservation, blocking one lane.
The outside lane of the M27 eastbound carriageway was blocked due to the crash between junction 8 at Bursledon and junction 9 at Whiteley.
But the lane has now been reopened, after emergency services cleared the road.
Police were called to a collision just after 10.30am after a silver BMW M Sport crashed into the central reservation, blocking lane three.
As the vehcile waited for recovery, a mile before junction 9, a Renault van clipped the BMW and also crashed into the central reservation, causing damage to the structure.
There are no reports of any injuries.
The lane remained closed as officers waited for recovery for the two vehicles.
Drivers are being urged to drive with care especially with the amount of surface water on the road.
