An overturned car is causing major delays on the A31 in the New Forest this evening
MOTORISTS are facing rush hour traffic chaos in Hampshire after a crash on a major road.
Emergency services were dealing with the incident on the A31 near Picket Post in the New Forest.
A spokesman from Hampshire Police said officers, paramedics and firefighters were called to the scene at 4.15pm.
The collision, which happened on the westbound carriageway, is believed to have involved one car which is understood to have overturned - although no one was injured.
The scene has now been cleared but delays remain.
