A PERSON has died after being hit by a train in the early hours of this morning.
Emergency services were called to Hilsea in Portsmouth when the person was hit by a train at about 4.55am.
The line through Hilsea from Portsmouth Harbour was closed for about an hour while paramedics attended.
The person was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
