A TEENAGER is fighting for his life after he was involved in a serious road accident last night.

The 17-year-old suffered major head injuries and is said to be in “serious condition” after his Ford Focus spun off the B3400 near Freefolk on Sunday.

The vehicle collided with a wall shortly after he lost control, leaving him trapped inside the car which had overturned and come to a stop on its roof.

Emergency services attended the scene, at 9.04pm, and freed the teenager before he was taken to Southampton General Hospital.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened or saw the vehicle prior to the collision.

Those with information can contact Sergeant Lyndon Barrett at Whitchurch Roads Policing Unit on 101 quoting Operation VENUE or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
