PART of a Hampshire motorway is today closed after a multi-vehicle crash.
The M3 southbound is blocked between Winchester Services and junction nine for Winnal after three cars and a van were in collision at 11.20.
Two lanes have been closed while emergency services work at the scene.
Two people have been taken to hospital by ambulance but it is not known the extent of their injuries.
A man in his 20s and a woman in her 30s are being treated at Southampton General Hospital.
Police initially closed the entire carriageway and put a diversion in place but eventually opened one lane to let traffic through before it fully re-opened at 1.10pm.
The crash is causing tail backs of more than seven miles for many Easter Bank Holiday travellers.
