RAIL users can expect delays on trains through Hampshire this afternoon due to engineering works overrunning.
Passengers on train services running through Basingstoke and Eastleigh can expect delays of up to 30 minutes and disruption is expected to last until 5pm.
Some trains have been diverted via the Guildford and Fareham route, while other affected trains have had to wait at Eastleigh and Basingstoke for the engineers to finish, before proceeding.
The lines have reopened but some trains are still running late as a result.
A spokesman for South West Trains said: “Our engineers, who had been working on track repairs and general maintenance finished work behind schedule earlier.
“We apologise for the delay this has caused to your journey.”
