AN AIRCRAFT experienced a "technical problem" before landing at Southampton Airport.
The Aurigny Trislander, which was travelling from Alderney in the Channel Islands, experienced an issue with its engine at about 5pm yesterday.
The airline say the engine lost power but the issue stopped after the aircraft descended and it then made a normal landing at the airport.
A spokesman said: “Aurigny can confirm that its flight GR567 between Alderney and Southampton on May 31 experienced a slight technical problem.
"The pilot reported that the rear engine of the Trislander lost a little power but this stopped after the aircraft descended slightly.
"It made a normal landing at Southampton Airport. Engineers are examining the engine and consider only minor repairs are required.”
A spokesman for the airport confirmed that the flight had made a "normal arrival" at the airport after reporting the issue.
