COMMUTERS were left angry this morning after lengthy delays on a Hampshire railway line.
Engineering works overran between Romsey and Salisbury, closing all lines and leaving customers waiting at Southampton Central.
And First Great Western were unable to source any replacement transport, although tickets were valid on South West Train Services.
Southampton City Councillor Matt Tucker said commuters at Southampton Central Station were angry and that there were further delays at Romsey as passengers waited more than 30 minutes for taxis ordered to replace the trains.
lots of irate commuters at S Central this morning. Overrunning engineering works at Dean and no rail replacement services @SW_Trains @FGW

But all lines were reopened at around 8.20am.
