Major road closed after serious crash
A MAIN Hampshire road has been shut after a serious crash between a car and a motorbike.
The A36 is closed in both directions at Landford between the A27 and B3079.
Hampshire and Wiltshire police are investigating at the scene.
The crash at 5.40pm is described as serious. One person was hurt, but details of their injuries have yet to be disclosed.
Drivers can take the A3090 and A27 between the A36 junctions for Whiteparish and Wigley.
It follows thunderstorms and heavy rain which caused traffic mayhem across south Hampshire, with the A27 closed at Bassett Avenue due to floodwater which trapped two cars.
