A FOUR-car crash on the M3 caused rush hour delays of an hour and a half this morning.
The crash near junction 12 for Eastleigh blocked two lanes and caused tailbacks on trunk roads in the area.
No one was seriously hurt, but a 44-year-old woman complaining of back pain was taken to Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester.
The crash involved a black hatchback, black 4x4, white BMW saloon and dark blue saloon with a heavily damaged front.
Southbound drivers using the M3 faced delays of up to 90 minutes, which had cleared by 11am.
There were queues as far back as Basingstoke, with further congestion on the A34 from Winchester.
People slowing down to look at the crash also caused delays northbound, tailing back to the M27 eastbound on the M3 approach.
All lanes were reopened by 9.05am.
