PART of a Hampshire motorway has been cordoned off as police investigate the murder of a Southampton man.

Shkelzen Dauti, better known as Genny, was found dead in Gilpin Close, Southampton, prompting police to launch a murder probe.

The 21-year-old had a stab wound to his chest and officers arrested a 30-year-old woman a 27-year-old man and a 28-year-old man after the discovery on Saturday, March 11.

And now detectives have closed part of the westbound carriageway of the M27 between junction five and junction seven.

Specialist officers were at the scene yesterday and Hampshire Constabulary said they will continue the search today.

A statement says: "We are making every effort to ensure there is minimal disruption to road users."
