A SOUTHAMPTON road was flooded after torrential rain fell this morning.
Highways crews were called to Portsmouth Road, near the roundabout with the Itchen Bridge, after water covered the road.
A picture from the scene shows the road completely underwater near the Cricketers Arms.
The water has now subsided and traffic has returned to normal in the area.
