Partnership could produce vital cycleway (From Daily Echo)

Hope it turns out better than the "cycle path" down at riverside which is just a load of gravel full of sharp stones.

I think he means the new section parallel to Abbey Hill..? Its not been laid as they said it would. We thought it would be proper tarmac like the bit by the car parks but they've just put down brown gravel.

No, I meant the one that runs 100 meters between Mansbridge road and a path that leads from River Walk but you have provided another example of a rubbish "cycle" path.

Indeed, on a MTB it's not so bad as you would expect it to happen anyway if you use it regularly for off-road but not on something like a roadie, those chippings are lethal to road tires too, even the ones that fit MTB's, had a set on my MTB before I sold it and I picked a couple of punctures up from such chippings, will never use such a path when I get the hybrid I'm going after as it has proper roadie wheels and tyres.
