NIGEL Adkins said he was unaware of any altercation between keeper Artur Boruc and a section of Saints fans after his side conceded a second goal against Tottenham.

Some Saints supporters have accused the Polish keeper, below, of reacting badly to barracking from the unhappy fans.

Many posted messages on social networking sites and at dailyecho.co.uk to even accuse Boruc, who was making his home debut, of throwing a water bottle that landed in amongst fans.

Adkins, though, insisted he hadn’t seen any incident.

When asked about it, he said: “Pass, I am totally unaware of it. I am not aware of any incident going on.”

Chapel End season ticket holder Rob Stickells contacted the Daily Echo last night to say: “This incident happened at the Chapel end of the ground, which houses the Family members.

“My two children witnessed this ‘tantrum’, a great role-model...not.

“So what action will be taken by the club- this man is not fit to wear to the shirt.”
