Almost the perfect post. Totally agreed with everything, until you said stop critising Guly. I never boo Saints players, but I really don't like Guly and he should have gone to Forest not Sharpy. Fox, I just don't think is cut out for this level. Fonte proved me wrong, so Fox may do so too, but I'd give Luke Shaw a fair go.

It's very a rare any manager in this league has a fully fit team to pick from. Injuries are inevitable. Ramirez will be back soon and then we might lose Lallana or Lambert or both through injury.

A good manager will find a way to grind out results no matter what.

You can't use injuries as an excuse.

IMO Adkins is out of ideas. We need a fresh approach.

Why we'll never be told probably but we can assume the Chairman has a big responsibility for why not as much as if not more than the manager.

We saw enough in the second half on Sunday to suggest our Manager is capable of producing the goods. He just needs to find the right blend. And the defenders need to stop making basic errors though they need a change of luck as well.

So let's stop all this panicky nonsense please, support the team, support the manager, support the Chairman, support ourselves. My recollection of the last three years is the combination of all four have brought us a lot of joy, a lot of fun, a lot of success.

Well surely the second half was proof that the players are still playing for Adkins? I agree we were terrible first half, but after a half time teamtalk, we started playing football again. We looked like the team we were last season. We spent £33 mil on transfers, yes, but how nearly half of that is out injured. I'm not making excuses, but 2 years ago today we were 21st in League 1. I know we can't live on past glories, but it should give us a bit of breathing room. In my opinion, if anything, we should give Nigel a 5 year contract tomorrow, that way, the uncertainty of how long he has left goes, and we can concentrate on playing football without the cloud of uncertainty. And if we go down, which I remain confident we won't, Nigel is the man to get us back, more prepared than before. But think of all those years fighting for survival in the 90s. Did we sack our managers then? We gave them more time. I think we're in a stronger postion now then we were then. I think the reason for the poor start was the difference of quality between Championship and Premier League. Now we're beginning to adjust imo- Fonte has looked stronger, Yoshida's beginning to adapt, Jay's scored Sunday- its beginning to fall into place.

I hope you are right about Ramirez.I have been expecting Tad. Lee to cause the opposition a lot of trouble when he gets back into action.well he was back last night and looked anything but a qualty international player.i fear that when Ramirez does get back he will find the cold,windy wet English winter waether difficult to adapt to at first.Come next spring he should work his magic.i can remember some great South American players coming to england over the years and being as miserable on the pitch as our winter weather.lets hope Ramirez is an exception to this and can find his best form straight away when he does eventually return.

We saw enough in the second half on Sunday to suggest our Manager is capable of producing the goods. He just needs to find the right blend. And the defenders need to stop making basic errors though they need a change of luck as well.

So let's stop all this panicky nonsense please, support the team, support the manager, support the Chairman, support ourselves. My recollection of the last three years is the combination of all four have brought us a lot of joy, a lot of fun, a lot of success.

Give Lee the service to do what he's good at and he will do the business. He needs the ball in front of him facing goal - not behind him! He's not a holding midfield player or a target man - he's a winger with pace.
He wasn't at the races last night because no one in the team recognised they need to release the ball early in behind the defence!

Nigel Adkins hasn't suddenly become a bad manager. Sure the defence is poor and needs improving - that can't happen till January. Sure the club failed to sign enough quality defenders in the summer. a good manager on top of his game would put out a winning x1.Did the players let the manager who picked them down.YES THEY SURE DID.did the manager let the travelling fans down by picking an inexperienced bench.Yes he did but let us hope he gets the selection right on Monday v WBA

If it is substantial, I wouldn't mind betting that NC might just bank it, take his bonus and sever his connections with the club, maybe that's why NC has stayed so quiet for so long allowing poor old Nigel to take the flak.
Can't see Saints coming away from the Hawthorns with anything better than a defeat by at least 2 clear goals, plenty of time then for Nigel to compose his lament.
Our only hope is to bring in a coach NOW who knows something about playing in the Premier League clearly NA, NC, the coaching staff and the players don't have a clue.
