Chris Baird, right, suffered freak injury
Former Saints star Chris Baird looks like being fit for Fulham’s Premier League game this weekend despite a freak injury.
The Northern Ireland international injured himself when he slipped into advertising hoardings as he celebrated scoring a header in the 3-3 draw against Reading last weekend.
It was Baird’s second goal in consecutive games, having previously scored the winner against Aston Villa – doubling the amount of Premier League goals the player had scored for Fulham in his first 113 games!
