Saints stars in international action

Nathaniel Clyne headlines a group of young Saints players on international duty this evening.

The right-back is in the England Under-21 squad that will take on their Northern Ireland counterparts in a friendly at Blackpool’s Bloomfield Road.

Also in action tonight are James Ward-Prowse, Calum Chambers and Jack Stephens.

The trio are part of the England Under-19 group that will face Finland in a friendly encounter in Telford.

Tomorrow will see the club’s senior international stars take centre stage.

Maya Yoshida is with Japan for their World Cup qualifying trip to Oman, with Steven Davis part of the Northern Ireland squad that will play Azerbaijan, at Windsor Park, in their Brazil 2014 campaign.

Gaston Ramirez is with Uruguay for their friendly match in Poland, while Emmanuel Mayuka is travelling to Johannesburg as Zambia face South Africa in the Nelson Mandela Challenge fixture.

Portuguese youngster Alberto Seidi, currently on loan at Aldershot, is with his country’s under-21 team for their home friendly against Scotland tomorrow.
