TWO former Hampshire Cricket colleagues go head to head tomorrow Down Under.

Shane Warne and Simon Katich will skipper the Melbourne Stars and Perth Scorchers respectively in their sides’ second Big Bash clash of the 2012/13 season.

And both will be desperate for a win after losing their first games.

Warne, 43, was hammered for 41 runs off his two overs – Aaron Finch hitting him for four sixes en route to an unbeaten 111 off 65 balls – as Stars were caned by Melbourne Renegades.

Katich, meanwhile, saw a third ex-Hampshire man, Phil Hughes, blast 74 off 48 balls to help Adelaide Strikers beat his Perth side by six wickets.

Adam Voges – another one-time Ageas Bowl overseas player – had top scored for Scorchers with 58 off 41 balls.
