THE Bishop of Dudley, the Rt Revd David Walker, gives his annual Christmas message to borough residents.
“Two thousand years ago at the first Christmas, a new star appeared in the sky. Back then stars were a vital means of finding the right direction; this particular one led the wise men to the birthplace of Jesus, and stars have been an important symbol of guidance down every century since.
“So my Christmas greeting comes to you with a prayer that you will find the guidance you need in your life and that it may lead you along the way to meet the child born in Bethlehem, and learn something from him. I pray too that you will be a wise guide to all who turn to you for guidance and direction.
A very happy Christmas and best wishes for a joyful and peaceful 2013.”
