  • "Usual doom mongers on here tonite. Obviously it is disappointing to surrender a 2 goal lead, but when momentum changes in a game it's always backs to the wall even if the oppo. are down to 10 men. OK so we dropped into the bottom 3. Whilst I dont like to see Wigan get a win it's great to see AV getting another hammering. We have them soon and we need to give them another drubbing. That is when we will climb out of a relegation spot for the final time. AV Reading and QPR to finish below us and a good chance of us finishing above Blunderland, Fulham, Newcastle, Wigan, Norwich and Wet Spam. Give Nige a bit of credit. He obviously had selection problems. Clyne simply would not be left out if fit. Be interesting to see if they keep stum in the same way as they have for Adam. Don't know who filled in at RB because none of the 3 centrebacks are good there. Bring on match choice. Spider to get booked against the ARS. so he will only miss the cup game. COYS"

Nigel Adkins hailed Saints’ draw at Stoke as “a fantastic point.”

The boss was delighted with a 3-3 draw at the Britannia Stadium despite seeing his side lose a 3-1 lead against ten men.

He said: “It’s a fantastic point away from home.

“You look at Stoke and the Britannia Stadium and they had only conceded three goals at home this season and we’ve scored three and could have scored more.

“It’s always a difficult place to come to, our supporters were great and first half it was only us you could hear because our game management was spot on.

“We came away from home and changed a few of the players around because we knew we’d have to deal with an aerial bombardment that would probably come and the players have been top drawer. We scored some really good goals.”
