Good question mate depends if they want to just pick up their money or play regularly , boruc only has a contract til end of season I think, gazza has lots of potential so he should be understudy but everything we put on here is debatable that's why it is here

Perhaps NA thinks Boruc might be handier coming on as a sub in an emergency. If I remember correctly, Boruc was on the bench before Gazza's previous recall.

Good question mate depends if they want to just pick up their money or play regularly , boruc only has a contract til end of season I think, gazza has lots of potential so he should be understudy but everything we put on here is debatable that's why it is here

Not sure about Butland, he's let in a few so far this season, but we definitely need a keeper!

Think about from the selling teams perspective. You have a decent player who's on the market. Would you sell him quickly our would you try to hang onto him for as long as possible?

Why are comments like this constantly put on this site about Portsmouth FC? Yes it's a club in difficulty so were Southampton not long ago. Portsmouth has a long history and not that long ago won the Championsip and FA cup. They were managed by Redknapp who had great players - Merson, Sherwood et al. Moreover they had tremendous support and I'm sorry to say I have never experienced an atmosphere at St.Marys as I have at Fratton Park. Fratton Park was feared by teams as being highly intimidatory due to the noise the fans made commented by Ferguson, Wenger, benetiz and others!!!!! No matter what the idiots say on this site Portsmouth was at one time a massive successful football club destroyed by financial mismanagement. I wonder whether the comments on here are the symptom of 'sour grapes'!!!!????

Why are comments like this constantly put on this site about Portsmouth FC? Yes it's a club in difficulty so were Southampton not long ago. Portsmouth has a long history and not that long ago won the Championsip and FA cup. They were managed by Redknapp who had great players - Merson, Sherwood et al. Moreover they had tremendous support and I'm sorry to say I have never experienced an atmosphere at St.Marys as I have at Fratton Park. No deal Noel. If the unthinkable ever happened - which it won't will it? I would become a Hawks fan, and I don't mean the Cricket team. Hats off to you boys for supporting your team in div 1, and if they ever went to the bottom league you would truly find out your best fans. The adverse effect of having a good size stadium and being successful, then being in the PL for the first time in a while is you get quite a few plastic "fans", some of which sometime followers of the big four or five.

Well, I hope won't come to that, I tease, but have no desire to see another football suffering through no fault of the fans. I have a track record for criticising the Football League for kicking teams when they are down, just because you are Skates, it doesn't change my opinion on that score. I welcome "plastic" fans as long as they keep paying their way, they are as entitled to support us, as any veteran who supported us through thick and thin, a Saints fan is a Saints fan, I prefer those that are positive and keep the faith. If they can't be positive, I would rather they kept it to themselves.

No deal Noel. If the unthinkable ever happened - which it won't will it? I would become a Hawks fan, and I don't mean the Cricket team. Hats off to you boys for supporting your team in div 1, and if they ever went to the bottom league you would truly find out your best fans. The adverse effect of having a good size stadium and being successful, then being in the PL for the first time in a while is you get quite a few plastic "fans", some of which sometime followers of the big four or five.

Bill, Stats would be interesting but right now I find watching KD in goal most nerve wracking. Compare with Pepe Reina, at Championship bound QPR today, he caught nearly every ball cleanly. KD hardly ever catches it anymore, thats if he even reaches it.

Outfield we need some more cover but here has been huge improvement , but the GK position is were we are throwing it all away.

Why are comments like this constantly put on this site about Portsmouth FC? Yes it's a club in difficulty so were Southampton not long ago. Portsmouth has a long history and not that long ago won the Championsip and FA cup. They were managed by Redknapp who had great players - Merson, Sherwood et al. Moreover they had tremendous support and I'm sorry to say I have never experienced an atmosphere at St.Marys as I have at Fratton Park. Fratton Park was feared by teams as being highly intimidatory due to the noise the fans made commented by Ferguson, Wenger, benetiz and others!!!!! No matter what the idiots say on this site Portsmouth was at one time a massive successful football club destroyed by financial mismanagement. We have a sort of "sugar daddy" already, and most of us think we have the makings of a great Manager, if he is given the chance to be. Much as I would love unbelievable sums of money, that is a thing of the past, the League is changing the Rules about investments, all Clubs in the future will have to prove that they are self sufficient. That's one of the legacies that your demise has led to.

Don't know but assume so.

Reducing squad sizes and limiting spend has to be a good thing to try and establish a level playing field. However, designing a system not open to abuse like sponsoring your own shirts etc will be the challenge.

I truly believe that a top striker should be hitting the net in 50% of games or better... The true class at the top of the game still do. Reeves was before my time but you can bet that on the days where the mud prevented quality crosses our Big Ron would hassle and graft for the ball and power through to get goals like no other.. easily one of the most powerful men in the box if not the prettiest. If Rickie or Le Tiss worked that hard they'd have reached the seasons record I think.. I'm not being harsh but you rarely saw Ron Davies stand around or jog around the pitch. They knackered his poor legs in the end and though it's been said several times.. he's the bloke that must be lined up for a special return and honour. Proper Footballer - Welsh too! haha
