WHO is the best ever January transfer window signing by Saints ?
And which player is the biggest mid-season flop at St. Mary’s.
The January transfer window began 10 years ago, in 2003, with £2.5m David Prutton the club’s first big January window arrival.
Other successes, or big name signings, have since included the likes of Marek Saganowski, Jose Fonte, Jason Puncheon, Jamie Redknapp and Nigel Quashie.
But what about those that have failed to set St Mary’s alight?
The likes of Lee Molyneux, Federico Arias and Callum Davenport.

I don't sponsor the manager anymore. NC decided to not bother with it this season. £10k lost for no good reason, not alot in the life of a prem club but every little helps. I might sponsor the skunts instead.

Fonte has been brilliant for us. Billy Sharp also should have been mentioned in that article.
His energy gave us that impetus to keep us in the top two all season when our energy levels could have wavered, a couple of losses to lesser sides (eg Doncaster at home - Sharp banged in 2) may have deflated us and quick slide could have occured
