That would make sense - I'm horrified whenever my lad gets a new pair of boots; they all remind me of carpet slippers. Hopefully they'll come up with a design that still allows the "touch" required but gives some support.

Adkins has frustrated me at times and made mistakes, but to become a good manager it's important to be allowed to learn from them. Also he's English and there's not many of them around except Sam, pardew and houghton that spring to mind, and sams a pr4t!

I was surprised to the max.... but the dude I was speaking to will be reffing in the premier league next season and he is adamant... and not been wrong before !!

well no this is history isn't it... he told me he was offered the job after the West Ham game.... then as a couple of games passed , the ship steadied and Twitchy was offered stupid money at QPR.... There is no suggestion that Nigel is about to be unseated but the rumour I heard today was that he was about to be installed at one point but that timing, events ( and probably money ) got in the way. To be absolutely honest I am trying my hardest to think this is BS but the guy has always come up trumps and was spot on about Mark Hughes... almost to the hour....

You totally miss the point. It's not about proving your abilities by sounding them out - it's about completely blanking them.

Non taken, it sometimes appears that I have taken over a thread, mostly because everyone else has run away, and it is not always down to my posting either. I monitor lots of sources of information and like to post news up as soon as I can, if I think it is relevant, but it isn't always to everyones taste. Always willing to help anyone with their queries, no matter how silly they may be. Just ask but please don't try to take advantage of my good nature, that is simply not fair.

I have to chaperone them between Eastleigh and the Stadium on match days, can't leave them on their own to socialise in the pub!

IMO if Adkins is sacked it means cortese is a ruthless dictator type and we are in trouble. What self respecting, decent manager would want to work for him in the future?

Like Abramovich ? ...... he seems to have decent managers on tap ........ i guess they look at the compo. before taking the job ......... I dearly hope we don't go down those lines .

Adkins has frustrated me at times and made mistakes, but to become a good manager it's important to be allowed to learn from them. Also he's English and there's not many of them around except Sam, pardew and houghton that spring to mind, and sams a pr4t!
Really frustrated that deals aren't getting down quicker but is that in Adkins hands?

How true , why is it that Jocks make such good managers when their national team is ranked 800th (or thereabouts) in the world ? ..... i just don't get it .
