Backroom staff leave with Adkins Backroom staff leave with Adkins

SAINTS have confirmed that Nigel Adkins' backroom team have left with him.

Andy Crosby, Dean Wilkins and Jim Stannard have all left the club, as Mauricio Pochettino looks to bring in his own team.

Wilkins originally joined the club under Alan Pardew and was the caretaker manager before Adkins replaced Pardew.

However, Les Reed, who is a director at the club, remains.

Lets get things straight.

Cortese is not a plank he has been at the head of a team that has lifeted Saints from League 1 to thier present possition.

That said he has made a bit of a howler here. Lets hope im wrong

he is a plank for removing the entire management structure all at once and replacing it with a failure of a manager from Spain that has never won anything like NA did in two successive promotions. Shocking decision and I am concerned it will cost us dearly. If in 4 months time I am proved wrong i'm prepared to come back onto a thread and hold my hands up and say I was wrong but I reserve my right to be worried

He should do as I remember reading an article with Les Reed, describing the structure of the club, and that if the manager goes, it happens to a minimal effect to the rest of the structure.

I am not surprised that Andy Crosby et al have left. That normally happens when a new manager comes in as they have their own staff.

When NA was brought in, people thought NC had gone mad but it has proved to be a good appointment. Hopefully the same will happen with Pochettino and Saints will be top half within a year or 2.

Well, if as you all say NC has been calling the shots all along then nothing will change!

As Wheeled1 says, everyone thought NC was loopy when NA came along and it worked out fairly well.

Time will tell. In 6 months time NC will either be hailed as an idiot or as a footballing genius.

Get over it, cortesse has done this club proud, i remember all you know it alls slagging him off for sacking AP and installing adkins, apparently he was nowhere near good enough total madness he never knew what he was doing that day either, WRONG! , now adkins is the best thing that has happened to the club for years, remember that it was cortesse who appointed him, so the man knows his onions, let him do his job, he has a plan he has never let us down yet, we can do our job support the team and all at club, so pull your heads out your buttholes and realise you actually know nothing about running a business ,

My biggest issue is that Nigel Adkins
wasnt given a season to prove himself in
the premiership, i feel the heart has been torn out of this club and i feel really sorry for the young players NA was one of the few manager that gave youth a chance.

When appointed in 2010 director Les Reed was said to have an influence in the appointment of a new manager and they got Nigel Adkins.
Therefore I wonder if he gave any view to Cortese about this decision or is he just a 'yes' man?
