Vegard Forren
SAINTS have confirmed the signing of Molde defender Vegard Forren.
The 24-year-old has put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half year deal with the club, in what is believed to be a £4m deal.
Liverpool were also interested in the centre-half, but felt they could not compete with what Saints had offered for the Norwegian.
Although much of the work had been done while Nigel Adkins was manager, Forren has ben unveiled as the first signing of the Pochettino era.

Do you think Nigel knew he was going a few weeks ago? I am surprised this new chap was being lined up.
Well if we do get relegated NC will have a lot of explaining to do... So it's a huge gamble by him. A man with an average (at best) record... Unless... Maybe... He is an interim manager for José Mourinio???!!!

Voted the best in the Norwegian league last year, some great news to go with the bad.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer even said he was good enough for Man U! I believe Cortese has actually done well with this signing and we were in desperate need of a good CB. We all have to move on from Nigel. I loved the man along with most Saints fans but what's done is done. He's not coming back. We have to support our team on Monday night and we have to support the new manager. He is actually highly regarded in Spain. He had a job offer from Valencia but declined it. When he was managing Espanyol he had no resources and the board kept selling his best players! He did brilliantly in his first two seasons. He at least deserves a chance.
Another player brought in by Cortese , another in experienced player that will struggle to find his feet, a new manager who quite frankly has little experience and got the push from his last job for poor results hopefully Cortese will get the message on Monday which should quite simply say resign from our club as you clearly don't know how to run a football club with our history !!!! Gutted for Nigel
