a poor poor decison from Cortese but cant say Im surprised. its sadly been on the cards for a while. The surprise is that an unknown south american with no real track record to speak of has been appointed in Adkins place. Saints may live yo regret this terrible decision but it just goes to show there is no loyalty in football. The timing is qually bad as will Dhaw and co now want away. Cortese has a lot of explaining to do and Im not sure that the new man is even going to be accepted. he doesnt even speak english for gods sake.Who is going to do the team talks. Crazy crazy decision.

I'm totally gutted for Nigel and understand why most will take this hard me included. I'm not going to slag off, lose faith or enter into any kind of protest. I sincerely hope Nigel gets Chelsea and beats the bloody Mancs for the title. He deserves it and should be grabbed... Rafa Out!. Many many Thanks Nigel it has been a brilliant bus trip under Scunny's Physio and I wish you every success.

What now... we are fans of Southampton Football Club. What's new we have yet another manager. Mauricio did well in Spain with little money to spend and failed having got no new players to help his last campaign. He does have friends in high places in Europe and has some respect. We must give him some too... The new era continues and moves to the next phase.... onwards and upwards march the Saints.

NC you're a F&*#$&%ING IDIOT after all. You obviously know VERY LITTLE about football, chemistry, and above all, continuity. You proved it with Pardew, and now you have made an even bigger fool of yourself with Adkins! Adkins will prevail and succeed sooner or later with another club, that is certain. What is unfortunate is your lack of foresight, you idiot NC! Even if you had personal issues with Nigel, you should have put your own overblown ego aside for the good of the club, you self-centered MORON!

Not completely surprised, but gutted. Nigel is great Manager and a very honourable bloke by all accounts, he's done us proud and will stay in our folk law with found memories for ever. For me I'm divided, can't be too judgemental looking at this with a business head I can understand. As a fan that embraced the whole new era presented to us by NC and Markus the great, I have to go with the decision. NC is single minded and driven he promised us top flight football and we've got it. He promises increasing success and in the same manor he's going to try and deliver. We will see. He never ever promised love and affection for players and mangers. I'm sure Nigel knew this, as will the new guy, who I reckon has got until the end of the season to give us a mid table finish. Or oranges and lemons for him (got to get some way through it to get to my point). I really do hope Nigel gets what he wants, if that's another job then great. He touches hearts and gives hope, so whatever team he joins we will all wish him well and keep an eye out for the score, as long as its not that lot down the road. Sorry that shouldn't be even said in jest. I'll be there Monday Night and hope a chorus of one Nigel Adkins is sung load for him in tribute. Good luck to Mauricio Pochettino, his success his our success now. COYR
