Ricky Lambert is not good enough, he is weak and he can never get a shot on target, he would be better off in League 2 playing for pompey next season.

This is not news, there needs to be an investigation as to why better players at smaller clubs are overlooked in favour of inferior players at the bigger clubs.

Roy Hodgson is the same as every England manager over the last umpteen years. Too scared to risk anything that might bring the papers or the FA down on him. Won't make any decision that might upset the Premier League Manager's Association or whatever that cabal is called, and certainly not adventurous enough to try anything different. It's a really good job Hodgson has such an abundance of alternative English talent all freely scoring lots of goals and exhibiting the type of selfess commitment, dedication and skill that will inevitably win England a major trophy very soon.

I'm glad he's not been included for obvious and I suppose selfish reasons. I reckon he must be a bit gutted personally but hopefully it will just spur him on against Wigan and in the rest of the games coming up.
It would be nice if he could score a few more goals in the next couple of games just to stick two fingers up to Woy Hodgson.

Would you mind telling me who is the highest scoring Englishman in the Premier League this season? Is it Wayne Rooney... no. Steven Gerrard? No. Oh of course, it's Ricky Lambert!

So if Ricky Lambert isn't good enough for the Premier League, or the Championship or League One despite being the top scorer in both those in the previous years, then you must have some serious issues. Or your a Skate. Same thing.

And has anyone forgotten a certain Jason Puncheon? He has been our best player this season and has done much better than Osman, Cleverley or Chamberlain. He should be in the team to play out on the wing to link up with any of the four strikers which he would do well.

On the other hand, he won't get injured, so that is the pro for Saints fans.

You do wonder sometimes why England managers bother to go to games every weekend, they clearly don't take anything in and are so biased against anybody not playing for the 'big boys'.
Lescott, Smalling, Carrick, Cleverley, Milner, & Welbeck, - either not good enough or out of form.
Not just Rickie missing out is it though, what about Puncheon?
