Morgan's sure Saints will beat the drop

Schneiderlin, right, celebrates his goal with James Ward-Prose
Morgan Schneiderlin has no doubts that Saints will avoid relegation with the way they are playing.
There was acute disappointment as the team left Wigan on Saturday with only a 2-2 draw after a dominant display.
But, following the latest in a long line of impressive performances, Schneiderlin is confident the club will have no concerns about a bottom-three finish.
“The first thing is to be sure we are safe as quick as is possible and make sure we win some games,” said the Frenchman, who had fired Saints into a late 2-1 lead before Shaun Maloney’s last-minute equaliser.
“But we are very confident we can do something very good this season.
“I am sure we are going to avoid relegation with the way we play. “We don’t deserve anything else.
“But we just want to push on as high as possible.
“The manager and everyone in this club wants to push this club as far as possible and that’s what we want to do on the pitch.”
For all of Saints’ good work at Wigan, it was largely undone by two poor pieces of defending from corners.
Schneiderlin expressed the frustration of the team at giving away two soft goals.
“It is the worst thing in football. When you know from deep that you deserved to win that game to concede a goal like that is just the worst thing that can happen to you,” he said.

The play from the team has deserved 7 from 9 points. Frustrating that we only have 2. Need to tighten up on the defence a little again, and start converting a greater percentage of the huge number of chances we are making.

Spider could have been in the French International Team by now if he played for someone else, no one likes our Players, it's traditional to overlook them.
Absolutely agree, Morgan is better than most other players in the division that play that role including - Carrick, Anderson, Arteta, huddlestone, Barry, Obi Mikel, Sandro, Allen - think that's the top six sides.....

If they did that then they would have four more points out of the last 3 matches.

The simple fact is that with this squad we should get around 43-45 points by the end of the season. However that relies on us stopping the silly giveaway goals that undermine our strong attacking policy. Enough said on that - plenty has been said on other threads.
It really is about time that we beat one of the top five sides sides. We have come close before but maybe Man City are going to get a surprise. I would love that !!! There is no doubt we have the team that can do it. It's all about talent, belief and not making late errors.

My offer was:
"If we're in the bottom three on the evening of Sunday 24th February (i.e. after the Newcastle game), I'll pay £25 to the charity of your choice, proof to be provided at the Joshua Tree after the QPR game (winner to buy the loser a pint). If we're not, you pay £25 to Age UK and bring proof instead.
If either of us loses and fails to pay up, the other is allowed to take the p*ss forever and a day."

Are you including all games against the Manchester clubs in that SFC? Because thats kinda 9 you can take away there especially the 6 Vs United we are not the only ones to do that this season

Seriously fella stop getting yourself depressed by it all the club is going forwards. At the end of the day we could have lost Saturday which would have been a disaster. BTW the big games that were bad for dropping the points are Swansea and Norwich at home imo that would be another 4.

Mayuka is more likely to be an impact at this level and has experience at International level and also playing in European cup competitions. He also has some amazing pace, which could cause untold problems for tiring defences if he's brought on as a sub whilst they're tiring.
