Two players reach their 100-game milestone this weekend as Hampshire entertain Gwent in the British Inter County League.

Steve Musson and Jane Monaghan will both chalk up 100 appearances for their county when they toe the oche at Hill Park Memorial WMC, Fareham.

Musson made his debut for Hampshire in 1996. He has turned out for the A side 45 times and made 54 B team appearances – with a 52 per cent win average.

Monaghan has accumulated her 100 games since 2002 – 78 for the A side and 21 in the B team producing a 57 per cent win average.

Hampshire have won all three of their Division 1 games this season and sit in third place – one above this weekend’s opponents – as they aim for promotion back into the Premiership.

HCDO spokesman Frank Branscombe said: “It promises to be a very close fought and competitive match and, fingers crossed, we can extend our winning run.”

Play starts at midday on Saturday and 11am Sunday.
