Lambert aims to keep up scoring run against Hart

RICKIE LAMBERT RICKIE LAMBERT

RICKIE Lambert aims to maintain his impressive goal record against England keeper Joe Hart tonight.

All Saints fans will remember that Lambert marked his Premier League debut on the opening day of the current season by scoring past Hart in a 3-2 loss at Manchester City.

But that was by no means Lambert’s first goal against the 25-year-old Hart.

Back in April 2005, when Hart was just a teenager playing for Shrewsbury Town, Lambert scored for Rochdale in a 1-1 League 2 draw.

The following November he netted twice in Dale’s thrilling 4-3 win against a Shrews side with Hart again in goal.

Norwich striker Grant Holt scored Dale’s other two goals as they fought back from 1-3 down to win at Spotland.

In all, Lambert has four goals from four appearances against Hart.

Hart had made his Shrews debut just a day after his 17th birthday in a Conference match against Ebbsfleet in April 2004.

One Lambo thread would have sufficed but as the other one has already been infested by the sock puppet, perhaps we could stick to this one. If Lambo doesn't get his 100th goal today, rest assured it won't be long coming.
