Hampshire all-rounder Sean Ervine has a must-win game in the Bangladesh Premier League on Wednesday.

Ervine was out for a two-ball duck as Duronto Rajshahi suffered a second successive defeat that means they have to win their final group game to have a chance of reaching the semi-finals.

Simon Katich’s 13-ball 27 gave Duronto hope of reaching their 180-run target, but Ervine was one of three players dismissed in the space of six balls as they were dismissed for 160.

Rangpur Riders, for whom Dimi Mascarenhas played three games last month, have leapfrogged Duronto into fourth place on run rate.

But Ervine could still reach the last four if Duronto beat the Chittagong Kings, who also need a win to qualify, in Mirpur.
