Tickets are still available for England’s Twenty20 International against Australia at The Ageas Bowl on August 29.

Fewer than 3,000 of the ground’s 12,000 permanent capacity are available for the first of the post-Ashes limited-overs internationals.

Commercial Director at the Ageas Bowl, Stuart Robertson said; “The reaction to the match has been absolutely fantastic and with good cause, too. Both teams are chock full with some of the very best players in the world and the Twenty20 format always lends itself to an awesome atmosphere – especially within the ‘cauldron’ environment of the Ageas Bowl.

“We do expect to add some additional temporary seating if, as expected, sales continue to go as strongly as they have but we are limited as to how many people we can fit in the ground this year, given that the construction of our four-star Hilton hotel is underway at the Northern End of the ground. So, all in all, we highly recommend that if anyone out there is interested in coming to this fantastic event, they should buy now to avoid disappointment.”

The match takes place on Thursday 29 August and includes the added incentive of being preceded by England’s Women’s match against Australia’s Women – a re-run of the Women’s Twenty20 World Cup final last year – all included in the price of the ticket.

These matches are two of four England Internationals at the ground in 2013 with the men also taking on Australia and New Zealand in two One Day Internationals at the ground on Monday 16 September and Sunday 2 June respectively.

Ticket sales for the ODIs are also progressing ahead of schedule with 15,000 places already secured at the ground across both matches. Prices can be found at ageasbowl.com.
